I would like to see ...

integrate with expensify

Expensify has a great iPhone app to upload receipts, does simple invoices for expenses with receipts a attached, plus they are already integrated with Yodlee to automatically import transactions.

We have been recently working with the Expensify team on identifying the best approach to integration.

Once this is complete, we will begin working together on making this happen. It is too early to say when yet, but we are aiming for just a few months.

If beta/pilot users are required, we will reach out here. Thank you all for your patience, we look forward to announcing more progress soon.

This is really important to us that you integrate expensify

@Tom P - there is no basis for your suspicions. We have an open API and partner program and it is not our model to integrate with other applications, primarily because the workflow is the other way around.

We certainly have no problems working with the Expensify team and are looking forward to doing so - we have been talking to them quite a bit recently and hope to have news soon.

I actually think its suspicious that Xero is not working to integrate with Expensify rather than expecting Expensify to intergrate with Xero.
Expensify could teach Xero a thing or two.
Maybe Xero is too close to some of the add-on developers who would lose business if Expensify was an add-on for Xero.

Does that have anything to do with the whole .NET Microsoft developer network thing ?

I just sent expensify and email, I suggest everyone in this thread do the same. When a business learns that they are missing a large portion of the market due to a missed integration, they'll prioritize accordingly.

I love Expensify but if Xero added the eReceipts feature then I could live without the software. My favorite feature of Expensify is that it generates eReceipts that are accepted by the IRS for items $75 or less. I never have to worry about keeping receipts, taking pictures, or anything. Just crumple them and throw em away.

We use and really like Expensify and just starting out with Xero. Having the two services link up would be really great for us. Thanks.

Need Expensify integration. Doing it by hand just does not scale well.

I emailed Expensify and got the response below. Looks like it will still be a while but at least Expensify are looking at it.

        ---- Expensify reply follows ----
An integration with Xero is definitely something we're looking into. We hope to dig deeper into this possibility in the coming year. You'll be sure to see an announcement when we get closer to this possibility in our development pipeline
        ---- end of reply ----

I suggest if you want to see this happen rather sooner than later, send Expensify an email asking for it.

Expensify and Xero are both beautiful software, if they can integrate it would be perfect (or nearly) :)

Really could do with this integration - surprised they support other systems but not Xero, usually Xero is one of the first to be supported!

It is a surprise to me that Expensify works with other accounting packages but not Xero - in my experience Xero has been one of the first ones which is supported! Any plans for an Expensify integration?

@Josh: no update I'm afraid, we have not heard from the Expensify team for several months. Ball remains in their court.

Great this would be a useful feature :) Expensify is a nice web app and it works using Windows Phone which is a nice change

I use the mileage tracking that is in Expensify. I know I can get a lot of clients to use it, if it will integrate with Xero.
