integrate with Authorize.net
We are pleased to announce that the Authorize.net integration with Xero is now live. This means Authorize.net can now be used with online invoicing. For information on getting set up, see this help article: http://help.xero.com/#PaymentServices.
For further comments, please follow this thread in the Xero community: https://community.xero.com/business/discussion/817245#answer3804801.
A reminder for those of you asking about integrating Authorize.net and shopping carts with Xero, the best approach is to connect the shopping cart to Xero using an eCommerce Add–on (http://www.xero.com/add-ons/ecommerce/).

Hey Xero Admin...
Got an ETA on Authorize.net and what some of those other ones will be? SecurePay?
Week? Month? year? You posted this 3 months ago... -

Add me to the list of someone who just went with Freshbooks because of Authorize.net. I hope Xero adds it soon, but I might be too invested by that time and just stick with Freshbooks.

First off Xero is great - that is a given. However, there has to be a clear roadmap of features that we as users can look at (and hound you over!). Using Xero has cut our accountancy time by at least 90% which then prompted us to look at other aspects and we therefore switched over to a genuine merchant service Streamline (part of Worldpay). Of course, reconciliation time has now increased because there is no feed available and we are not going back to Paypal (to expensive).
My overall point is to reiterate what others have said Xero helps small business but the last thing I want is to outgrow Xero and I'm hoping that as a business Merchant Feeds are being given the priority they deserve.....starting with Streamline! (",)

I am just considering Xero but I collect payment and issue invoices at the same time (through both Ecommerce/MAgento and manually entered orders). I don't have any customers who 'pay on invoice' - they all pay 'with invoice'. So, I just want a simple gateway connector (eway for example) so I can press a button - enter card details and then the customer details and invoice total are pushed to the gateway for approval or rejection. Simple.
I have been doing this on various in-house systems since 2001 ?? It is not hard and is the most basic requirement of any ecommerce business so I just don't understand why Xero does not have this functionality right out of the box. You are missing tens of thousands of customers by not having it.

The only way for any online business / authorize.net customer to adopt Xero is for you to offer this feature.

Any ETA on authorize.net integration? This would be a great feature and allow us to switch from Harvest to Xero.

Is there any news on the integration with different Payment gateways?

We would be willing to move if we could use worldpay but the option of paypal only means the costs of the processing outways the benefits

Really looking forward to this integration. Any ETA on the feature would be appreciated. Thank you!

Any updates on this one? It's huge for us to be able to accept customer payments outside of the Paypal option. Thanks!!

Looking forward to this... I really want to keep using Authorize.net as it is a pain to set up a new gateway. Help me out Xero team!

We as a processing company have our own gateway that sometimes can be used through the auth.net portal. But other times it can not. It makes it challenging to be a reseller when there are so many limited features for total financial management solutions such as merging ACH checks, auto debits and credit card transactions. Ecommerce is huge as there is a need for ecomm accounts to be able to have a simplified download version into their financial management OR better yet a live feed like you have with banks.

It would be nice to have a few other options that can be integrated since your platform is open API. Auth.net is better than nothing, but their reporting is not very good. Its a start.

I'm considering Xero and have yet to find online accounting software that integrates with Authorize.net, and by that I don't mean using it to allow customers to pay their bills. I'm setting up a new e-commerce site and want to import individual transactions automatically from Authorize.net, otherwise they come in as one lump sum deposit from my merchant account that's extremely difficult to assign to specific accounts. Has anyone heard of a solution for this?
