  2. In lieu of being able to interact with the Bank Feed information directly via the API - it would be useful to be able to run the Bank Reconciliation Report directly from the API.

    The use case in mind is:

    I would like to set up a proactive notification when there are incoming amounts that are not reconciled in Xero in order to prompt someone to go in to Xero and manually reconcile those items. This will help prevent our customers from getting automated invoice reminders when they've paid.

    We're not at the point yet where someone is in Xero…

  6. A U.S. nonprofit's statement of activities groups expenses by activity, not by account. It would be helpful to be able to add an account to a blank report more than once so the account can appear under different groups, and to be able to apply a filter to each group by one or more tracking categories. This would allow us to create a report using the Blank Report template that mimics the statement of activities.

  7. I have clients that do there own bookkeeping but are on partial exemption VAT and they are forever changing things in prior VAT periods. It would be useful to have a date of the transaction in all reports as it would be easier to make the required adjustments. This also relates to aged debtors/creditors and transaction reports as it would speed up the process of identifying any new transactions that were posted in earlier periods.

  8. As a building business it would be nice to ascertain the costs of a specific build/client to ensure the company is on track with profit/loss per project.

    When I started out in Xero, and when all purchases were been entered in as drafts, when a certain reference was entered, such as the client name or job number, a running total was always displayed as to how much was spent on a particular build/client.

    Ironically once the purchases were approved and/or paid, upon typing the same specific reference, would no longer provide a tally or what was spent, to be paid…

  9. I would like an API which tells me the same information as I can see in the Sales by Item report, this would mean I can see how much I sell in a month, or selected dates, of a particular item.

    For example I have an item called hourly rate I would like to GET the total invoiced in the month for hourly rate

  10. I've been working with GetBalanceSheet reporting api, I realized while fetching data for all dates and found out that it is returning data pointing to the last date of the month in the input date.

    Example:

    Get-Balancesheet API
    date: 10/24/2021 (mm/dd/yyyy)

    API returns data as of 10/31/2021 instead of 10/24/2021

    Get-IncomeStatement does not have this issue.

  11. Why are Xero reports so frustrating??? Is it just me?
    Another one that has wasted extreme amounts of time, the vat audit report.
    Why is it spread over a ridiculous area so you have to view it in wide view to see any useful information. What is the point? It fits it on a normal view then expands itself and you lose half the useful information?

    Then you have to randomly click all the blue underlined options to find the ONE that drills down to the detail. You check what you need to - ie why the hell there are…

  12. When an account has a zero value in the P&L Report (but also in all others), it is excluded from the returned data.
    The request is to provide in the result all accounts, even if they have 0 balance and/or no transactions

  13. Suppose, I have more than 500 companies to manage and each one uses different integrations eg: routable, adp, toast, square etc. How can I see which company is associated with how many integrations. I want to have a report or api that can provide me that information.

    Otherwise, there might be a possibility that for example: "Company A" in Xero might accidently or by human error be connected to "Company C" in routable instead of "Company A". Having some kind of metric can help in auditing/correcting such things else it could be a recipe for disaster.

  14. I use QWD and would like to see the Management Report exportable as well as more budget reports eg budget per month from budget manager.
    This would allow far more flexibility in building reports and dashboards.

  16. The profit & loss api requires a % of income exported into their json it'll help report devs like me working on the custom reports to avoid complicated calculations on the reports and bring flexibility of data in the API

  17. When an account has a zero balance and no transactions for the specified time period in the Bank Summary Report, it is excluded from the returned data.

    The request is to provide an optional parameter, 'includeZeroBalances' or the like, that includes these accounts and displays them in the report with zero balances.
