  1. Add Expenses endpoint to the Projects API

    The Projects module of Xero allows you to capture expenses. However, this data cannot be retrieved from any endpoint.

    It would be good if an Expenses endpoint was added to provide the list of expenses add to projects (including estimate cost and revenue information).

  2. Update Xero Projects API endpoint to Include estimated costs

    The Xero Projects API / Projects endpoint include an estimate field that provides the estimated revenue.

    It would be good to add an additional estimateCosts field to provide the estimated cost so as to be able to calculate margin for a given project.

  3. Enhance API to include Invoice Created By information

    Created by is an important audit field and minimally allows the broader organization to know who to go to for questions...E.g. Think PM getting Invoice questions from customers and then needs to speak with whomever created the invoice to review.

    Additionally, this impacts many 3rd party integration tools such as Breadwinner that aim to surface Xero data into other systems. The better enabled integration partners are, the more successful Xero will be in growing with customers and entering larger companies.

  6. Add an API endpoint for starting and stopping project timers, and getting the current time

    There are currently endpoints for adding time logging to Xero, but not for interacting with the running timers.

    It would be really helpful to be able to do this, so that I (and others) could have external tools (in my case a StreamDeck) able to start and stop timers.

    I would also like to be able to request information on what the timer is currently on in order to get live feedback.

  7. Send Remittance Advice via API

    I would love to be able to send a remittance advice via API. There are a couple of scenarios where this is would be useful:
    1. Monitoring the bank feed for reconciled payments and sending the Remittance ass appropriate
    2. Generating a payment file from a list of invoices that are being paid and sending the remittance as appropriate

  8. budget upload to Xero API

    It would be great to have an budget upload API.
    I'm using G-Accon to push data in Xero, it would be great to be able to push budgets too.
    Currently, Xero's budget manager is a bit rigid in its layout. However with G-Accon I could use a custom layout, or for example narrow down for a departmental budget, and then push to Xero.

  9. Include Contact field in Journal Report API

    When running the Journal Report API, Contact should be included in the resulting fields. We want to be able to see contacts by Account for our planning system.

  11. Get, Post and Delete project Expenses

    Currently, project endpoints are only available for projects, tasks and time. Unfortunately, expense for projects aren't available. Projects are an important feature for many businesses including construction and I've had numerous clients request this. This information can only be pulled via a detailed project report but the layout and format are very limited. So if the client would like to integrate the data to a CRM or format it a particular way they aren't able to.

  12. Search for a purchase order number using the API which includes a forward slash

    We are creating purchase orders in Xero which have a purchase order in the format of: 'ABCDE/123'. These are coming from DataBuild. When using the PurchaseOrders API endpoint, we are unable to search for purchase orders due to the forward slash character. Have tried using various escape characters in the API call, but it does not work. The Xero API Explorer also fails when running the same call against the PurchaseOrders endpoint, yet the purchase order exists in Xero. We would like to be able to search for purchase orders using escape characters.

  13. Reconciliation API

    It is very important to add an API that would allow us to pull the reconciliation data in order to connect it to our customized platform where we can add more AI logic which will make reconciliation much faster and easier.
    We can pull all bills and invoices, and it would be great if we can integrate the reconciliation of Xero in order. this way our developers can implement the logic that works for our business

  15. Provide superannuation payment data through the API

    Provide superannuation payments data through an API - to represent what is available in the superannuation payments report currently.

    This would also need an employee Id - currently only shows the employee name.

  17. create new endpoint for "Copy to Bill"

    there's an article for "Creating Bills from Purchase Orders" (https://central.xero.com/s/article/Creating-bills-from-purchase-orders), however I can't find endpoint for this action in accounting API (https://xeroapi.github.io/xero-node/accounting/index.html#api-Accounting).

    Update the status using updatePurchaseOrder (https://xeroapi.github.io/xero-node/accounting/index.html#api-Accounting-updatePurchaseOrder) won't let user create a bill in xero by default.
