    Completely agree — this is a major limitation. Linking invoice line items to projects via the API is essential for accurate job costing and profitability tracking, especially for businesses handling large, complex projects.
    In agricultural construction and grain systems work, we often have multiple phases, materials, and labor costs per project. Being able to properly connect automated invoices to specific jobs would make financial management much smoother.
    Hoping this gets prioritized soon.

    This would be a very useful addition to the Xero API. Construction and project-based businesses often need to efficiently manage, track, and update project expenses in real time. Supporting GET, POST, and DELETE for project expenses would make integrations much smoother and save a lot of manual work.
    We rely heavily on accurate project costing and expense tracking. Hoping this gets implemented soon.
