    Coming back one year later because the status here is even worse now - given how this is now directly affected by the API Egress charges from Xero - so a large catalog is going to cost more even if their inventory isn't changing. 

    This isn't something we see from the QuickBooks API, and I see this being a strong factor around Xero being chosen vs QuickBooks on both a user and integrator level.

    This would be quite helpful to have - as it would provide a much more efficient way to be aware of inventory changes made in Xero - especially since there are no webhooks that could be used for this.

    QuickBooks Online does support this.

    This is quite important. QuickBooks Online has a much-used feature that's similar to this - adding custom fields to orders and customers, that can be interacted with through the API.
