We ran into an issue in that Xero Sales Tax will only apply to the entire invoice. Why isn't the integration setup in such a way that you can apply a different sales tax in harvest to a line item? In our case, there are service items that have a different tax rate from product items.

As a result, we have to edit every invoice in Xero and apply the appropriate tax.

Any news on this? I am also asking Harvest, as I realize you must work together to make this work. This would be an excellent addition!

I use Xero with one of my clients, and I'm testing Harvest. They're both great tools. Please make this happen. I'd love to use this with my business and to also recommend this to clients. Please make this happen!

Please can this include pushing any expenses entered into Harvest into an expense claim in Xero.

I'm going to be honest here... I'm more disappointed with Harvest than Xero... they seem to be the ones slacking here, and they've recently locked the thread dealing with Harvest/Xero integration (http://forum.getharvest.com/forums/feature-requests/topics/xero-integration).

Xero -- if you can improve your invoicing system/features, I'll most likely drop Harvest entirely. Couple things I like about Harvest:

* Ability to easily send "Reminders" about past-due invoices.
* Ability to easily send "Thank You" notes for payments received.
* Generate estimates.

We are keenly looking to move away from Freshbooks which we currently use with Xero. One feature that I really dislike about the Freshbooks/Xero integration is the way Xero doesn't update invoices in Freshbooks when they are paid.

This is a real pain - I've played with Harvest and I like it. So to everyone who is waiting for this integration, I would suggest that we all respectfully ask that the integration is comprehensive rather than only partial integration like the Freshbooks/Xero one.

Hi Trevor, we are want to be able to have this for Q1 2012, but Xero are not doing all the work here, so I can't fully commit to a date that is outside of my control.

I'm still not clear on this --- is this expected to be released Q1 of 2012, or is there no target release date at this point?

I agree that both companies continue to focus on items no one is asking for, where is this has been something asked for since 2009. And other than "planned" know update on its status or potential to be done this year, next, or the following.

I have lost confidence in either one of these companies to pay attention to anything the user community wants. This as been the #1 feature request or 2 years and Xero has simply ignored us. In meantime, both companies have been adding features that are less important than what we've asked for. I guess the customer is unaware of what is really good for them.

You guys actually make me long or Intuit. Saying that made me throw up in my mouth a little bit. Quit all the "we're so great" blogs and actually do something.

We're abandoning both of these products.

Please can you get this integration into the roadmap - it would bring more users in both directions as Harvest is a great time tracking tool!
