P&L Reports Per JOB.
Quickbooks has this cool feature, when i plug in an invoice, i can like it to a JOB, a CLIENT and a VENDOR, so that if i wanted to know exactky how much money i made from that client at the end of the year, i can but if i wanted to know how much money i made from that client on ONLY events, or graphic design, for example, i CAN .. xero would do amazin if it can have JOBS under clients and what not :)
NB: while Xero does not support JOBS, the tracking category feature of Xero does provide a similar function: https://help.xero.com/Settings_Tracking

We need this too! BCC does an amazing job of this.
- Open a new job under a client the get a nice auto generated job number prefixed with the client's ID (eg, "ACME-001")
- Add more columns to to time sheet where one can enter hours against a specific job number (and also a free-text field to describe what was done for that task)
- Apply expenses, invoices & bills against that job number
- Add reports to calculate profitability by job, client and staff member -

It's an additional method of tracing a business activity. To have the ability to trace a transaction not just by the existing "tracking" option but also by "Job" and then design a report with the option to include or exclude these fields would make Xero a very powerful reporting piece of software.

I totally agree on this request. We have multiple projects often under the same client. The ability to allocate expenses, purchases and payments under a job would be of HUGE benefit to me.
