We heavily rely on the Xero API to streamline our business accounting processes, particularly for automating the triggering of invoice emails. However, a significant challenge has emerged as we are unable to include the invoice as a PDF attachment in these automated emails. This issue has become more pronounced due to our clients adopting a security-conscious stance towards embedded links in emails, driven by compliance requirements with third-party bodies such as ISO.
In response to our clients' heightened information security standards, we find ourselves manually triggering emails from within the Xero UI. While this isn't excessively time-consuming, it becomes a notable inconvenience considering the majority of our accounting operations are automated through the API.
