Payroll API for New Zealand
It would be great to have a payroll API for New Zealand so that we could develop the same features for Australian and New Zealand clients.
For example, as part of integrating our travel online booking tool being able to export employee data like first name, last name and email will enable the creation of traveller profiles to be streamlined for Xero NZ cilents.
Oops, sorry, we forgot to close this request out.
The good news is that Xero’s payroll API is available for NZ and all the docs are available here https://developer.xero.com/documentation/payroll-api-nz/overview
Cheers,
The Xero API Team

Since the Payroll API for New Zealand has long since been released, can you please remove this feature request?

I've started using the NZ payroll beta, is there the ability to filter Employee Leave? At the moment it returns all leave for an employee, however I would like to just filter that...

Our software links employees and payrates to those in Xero. For pay runs it exports employee IDs, hours and pay rate IDs.

I am very interested in using the Payroll API to provision users in our other systems. Ideally getting webhooks on CRUD operations of employees would be great, but at the very least, access to enumerate employees, employment status in a RESTful way would be helpful. I'd be happy to participate in the beta program also.

How far away is the NZ Payroll API?

You should use your own API to create your UI, then we would not be stranded without API access to this data. Please build out an NZ Payroll API and consume it yourself so that you maintain it and it is consistent with what you can do in the app

We have so many clients who would really benefit from this. Would be awesome to see this happen

I believe it was a bad decision to launch the payroll without an API, this should have happened in tandem. Clients are being forced to make other arrangements for payroll during the wait and invariably they get entrenched into what was an interim solution. This impacts 50 plus of our clients. Payroll API should be on the top priority list, sales rule.
