Well integration costs the same as the Xero system, if you already have released the API why not stretch your developers and release an extension we dont have to fork more monthly costs towards....

Note that there's really a third option as well. Unleashed is an inventory management system which syncs with Xero. They've released an API that pulls data, including customers and orders, from Magento, which then all gets synced with Xero. It's an extra step in the process, but then you get inventory management added in as well.

Please note: you need to have the PHP SOAP extension on your Magento server in order for our integration to work. There is a good chance you already have this installed, if not your web host should be able to assist (it's usually very simple to do).

Magento has something like this. You should do it yourself as well.

We have built a Magento to Xero integrator.
However, we are waiting on Xero to allow longer term OAUTH tokens - the maximum time is 30 minutes, after which you would need to re-authenticate.
Once this is done, we will release it.

Agreed. Magento is HUGE and integration would be fantastic.

This is THE ecommerce application to integrate with. There are third party integrations, but having all the invoices link into magento would be priceless, including two-way talking and noting when paid and reconciled etc. Credit notes also.
