integrates with eWay.com.au
I am hoping to use Xero.com to send invoices, and then eWay.com.au to auto-magically process the payments (using eWay autobill or token payments)
We are delighted to confirm that the Xero-eWAY integration was launched today. For full details, check out our blog last week announcing it: http://blog.xero.com/2013/06/eway-coming-soon/ and for more information on how payment services in Xero work, check here: http://blog.xero.com/2013/05/get-paid-faster/

Hey guys, I am a regular user and lover of both Xero and eWay and we recommend our clients to both.
I would love to use your eWay / Xero online payment tool but I need to be able to apply a surcharge if the client decides to pay with credit card and no surcharge if not. Surely this wouldn't be too difficult to apply?
Unfortunately without that feature I can't proceed as my business does $20k+ transactions and the fees are too large to absorb.

We are currently looking into how we can link MYeWAY and its data directly to xero - watch this space!

We have payment plans for some of the things we sell. I like Melinda's idea. It would be great if we could take the three payments and have them pay via an invoice that is automatically fired off on the date we set up. Then, when paid, it would allocate that payment to the one invoice.

Melinda - thanks for the feedback.
Great idea, and we'll look into it for you. Is there anything else in regards to eWAY/Xero you would like to see?

I have a business which takes recurring monthly payments by credit card through eWAY (with an online merchant facility set up with CBA). These recurring payments happen automatically each month for each customer. Am I able to link eway to xero so that when a customer's payment happens, they are automatically sent a tax invoice and a receipt from xero?

Thank you XERO for linking to eWAY - Any questions? Please see http://www.eway.com.au/xero

Great news. Couple of questions:
1) When someone pays an invoice through eWay will the payment be assigned to the invoice in Xero instantly?
2) Is there any integration on the way for non-invoice payments through eway (i.e. will there be something like a bank feed for all payments that are made through eway)?

This will be live very soon!!! Can't Wait!
At eWAY we are looking into ways that we can better link data directly with XERO - to assist with reconciliation payments and managing of recurring payments.

Will this include some sort ability for a client to short pay the invoice? For example, an invoice is sent for £5000 and they want to put a payment of £1000 against it.
Cheers,
Dave

Just spoke with eway about this and for us a small business with a around $10-15K or credit card transactions per month it works out more expensive than Paypal.
The problem is to use it we would need to resurrect our merchant facility with Bendigo Bank at $42.90/month or $515 per annum. Then we have to pay .0195% per transaction. On top of that we would then have to pay eway's fees (say budget plan) of $399/year.
So before we even run run transaction we would be up for $914.00 in fees.
As opposed to Paypal 2.4% per transaction + $0.30 and no monthly fees.
$914 is fees equates to $76/month which then at Paypals rate of 2.4% equals the fee for a $5,400 invoice. So in this case for our small business we would be a mile in front staying with Paypal.

The first release will be very simple - linking invoices to process the payment. We will then start building add on products once live.

That's great news Matt! Does this mean we would need to switch to Rapid 3.0 then?

Any ETA on this feature? Even the most basic implementation would be very handy as a starting point.

Will this allow me to create recurring payments in eWay and have those invoice details synced back to Xero, or is it going to be a one way Syncing operation?

Will it be able to be used this way....
I create invoices in xero... i click on the link... it takes me to eway... i process transaction on customers behalf using eway stored tokens feature ... i then send the customer the invoice marked as paid
(FYI in my case cust has already given me permission to store their details)
this is important to find out
is this possible??
