Bpay integration with Xero

I would like to see Bpay integration with Xero. Bpay is widely used as an accepted payment method within Australia. http://www.bpay.com.au/ It would not be a very complex add in as all that's required is a customer reference field to be specified on every customer as well as a Biller Code field that can be defined in the organisation settings.

Hi everyone,

Very pleased to announce that the BPAY integration with Xero is now live!

Once BPAY has been enabled in Xero, you can start accepting BPAY payments from the invoices you send. Customers simply click Pay Now on the invoice. They then log into their Internet banking platform to pay via BPAY, a secure, trusted and preferred method of payment. Once the funds are deposited in your bank account, Xero auto-matches the settlements to the paid invoices. Because customers are asked to enter their unique BPAY reference number (CRN or “Customer Reference Number”), each payment can be matched to specific invoices in Xero, making reconciliation a breeze. We think this is truly beautiful, and we hope you will too.

    So, for Australian businesses to enable BPAY on their Xero account, Xero tells us that we need to open an account with Macquarie Bank? Seriously? I'd be interested to see the data indicating that Macquarie Bank is the No.1 banking choice for Xero customers, because obviously that data would be the basis for Xero deciding to go in this direction in order to implement a feature continually requested by their customers over the past four years... :(

    Xero users, how much are you willing to spend on a monthly basis for a solution to Bpay integration with Xero? If there is sufficient demand for this, we can potentially make this happen.

    bpay aint gonna come because xero is making oodles of cash from third party apps offering similar and more expensive services. personally i don't give a damn about general ledger etc I can get that anywhere . I want good debtors like automatic early payment discounts and late payment interest plus bpay. Ive dumped xero and am looking at micro net. expensive but it protect my most valuable asset . My debtors. I don't like the way xero operates and with the app add ones it can get very pricey. intuit is getting in the game as well

    I also use BPAY to pay most of my suppliers. A large number of which also support "BPAY view". Would also be great if this could be integrated with supplier contacts so new bills received automatically get added (as a draft) Bill / purchase. Similar to the Xero Network Key concept, except would provide for a lot more suppliers that you can be linked with in the Australian market. I can use this now with my Internet banking, but it would be even better if this could come straight in to Xero.

    Please advise when Bpay will be integrated? I'm on a 30 day trial and seriously considering going elsewhere if Bpay is not on the horizon in the very near future.

    Agree B Pay is a basic requirement for any Australian small business as part a cash flow (accounting) management system, how about it Xero, I'm sure you have enough smart people in the back room that can make this happen.......right?

    Our company accepts Bpay as payment from clients and pays some bills via Bpay. We are using Xero now, and it is frustrating and time consuming, having to manually allocate Bpay payments from Commbiz downloads and pay some bills via Commbiz, rather then using just Xero.
    Xero, please advise when Bpay will be part of Xero.

    As one of the original and most widely used electronic payment systems in Australia, I think it should be accommodated by Xero. My company has been a Bpay biller for 13 years. A large chunk of our clients use this system to pay us. A custom field name/description in contacts would be a good start. This would at least allow manual input of the customer's Bpay reference number. What would be even better is an "Account number" field with the ability to add a MOD10 check digit automatically.
