integrate with expensify
Expensify has a great iPhone app to upload receipts, does simple invoices for expenses with receipts a attached, plus they are already integrated with Yodlee to automatically import transactions.
We are delighted to confirm the Expensify – Xero integration is now live: http://use.expensify.com/xero

Expensify and Xero are both beautiful software, if they can integrate it would be perfect (or nearly) :)

Really could do with this integration - surprised they support other systems but not Xero, usually Xero is one of the first to be supported!

It is a surprise to me that Expensify works with other accounting packages but not Xero - in my experience Xero has been one of the first ones which is supported! Any plans for an Expensify integration?

@Josh: no update I'm afraid, we have not heard from the Expensify team for several months. Ball remains in their court.

I use the mileage tracking that is in Expensify. I know I can get a lot of clients to use it, if it will integrate with Xero.

@Stacey @Paul - we have not heard from Expensify for several months. The ball is in their court.

I would like to know the status of integration as well. No one likes workarounds or manual imports.

Any news on this integration? this is one of our main pain points at the moment.

@Marc: The information I have to hand is that Expensify are hoping to get an integration done in Q1 of next year.
In most cases, the integrations are not done by Xero - we use this forum to collate support and then try to work with the 3rd parties to get an integration going. As such, it is difficult to know exactly where a given project stands - it would be unfair for us to make promises on anyone else' behalf, and it could also lead us to giving inaccurate information which would be frustrating for everyone.

Are these feature integrations being prioritized based on demand/votes or ease of implementation? Is there any way that we can find out where either this, or any of the other integrations stand?

They also have a fantastic Blackberry Application. Unlike ABUKAI, it is not limited to only 10 receipts, and it's free. This makes it more appealing than ABUKAI for single users/freelancers. Plus, ABUKAI is no in the Google Apps Marketplace, Expensify is.

I also use FB to generate an invoice, which I now manually reenter in Xero. Be a big help to handle the AP side of FB integration, but... if you integrate directly with expensify, you should plug into the Expense Claims functionality of Xero, ideally allowing either unapproved expensify expenses to go through the Xero approvals process, or expenses approved in expensify to flow through as approved in Xero. Eliminate the need for FB altogether in this scenario, and eliminate double approval processes.
Please make sure the feed can handle the multicurrency... whatever the report policy currency is in expensify, should feed into xero.

Totally agree - you should integrate with them or add similar functionality to your own mobile version(s).
