    This is a really obvious request and important to our own external applications interacting with Xero. I know that there are various forum posts on this, so multiple people have already requested this, even if not reflected in the low votes score. For example

    Desperately wanting this. I don;'t understand how core customisation of fields in basic data objects like this isn't seen as something highly useful as it makes the system much more customisable to different use cases
