Hi - It's September 2017 a year since your last update. i recommended Xero to my customer to join the dot's between their accounts package and CRM - i look a bit foolish now (My bad?)
especially since you have ignored all requests on this thread -
can you provide ANY update - even if it is to say that you don't plan to add quotes to your API
your inaction does you no credit

This would be a huge time and accuracy saving. The first thing we'd do is use Zapier to open a new task for the team when a quote is accepted. After that, we'd be able to build all sorts of useful stuff.

Also here, eagerly waiting for this functionality.
Please prioritize it.

Hi, we have recently started using Quotient as it allows for multiple choice type quotes out to clients. It means we lose visibility of the quotes in xero and the thread from quote through to invoice. A huge vote for allowing Quotes endpoint please.

Currently having to manually copy quotes into xero, when really could have automated it straight from our multiple websites.

Yes - update please!! Come on Xero - basic things like this should not take this long. You're starting to look really shoddy - complete outage this morning doesn't help.

Having to wait over two years (so far) for this essential functionality is really not good enough. This omission costs our business money EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Get more devs if you can't manage but don't just leave everyone hanging like this.

Not even a quotes report?? Come on Xero Team. Maybe the API takes time to develop, but a simple Quotes summary report!

I use quotes to drive our forward planning. Could consider using draft invoices in which case workflow would create a draft invoice as soon as quote is accepted.

For us, accepted quotes are what generate the revenue of which a portion (albeit very worthwhile) does go to Xero. I'm pretty sure many other businesses operate the same way.....
Please consider this! At the moment keeping track of quotes is a very manual process for our sales team! Ciao.

Without a timeline, we will most likely not be moving forward with Xero

It is unbelievable that Quote functionality was delivered without a supporting API.
I also find it hard to believe that the API would be that hard to implement - to all intents and purposes it's the same as the Invoices API, but with a different prefix ('QUO' vs 'INV') and a new numbering sequence.

Look at any business accounting workflow and quotes are the starting point.

Shameful omission.

It's now almost TWO years since the community has been asking for this feature and almost 6 months since any comment on progress from Xero.

Is there any update here? I understand the coolness of webhooks and developer portal (I am one myself). I also happen to be in the unfortunate position of having recommended Xero because of the API support. Can't export quotes in our business == move elsewhere. Please help.

Completely understand that Xero can only work on so many things at once, but Quotes as a basic necessity for 1000's or industries and therefore so is the quotes api. We are a creative agency so we send a quote based on a brief, then send and invoice once the quote is agreed (standard practice). No quotes api means we double key everything in our CRM and in Xero. We're now looking to Xero alternatives du to this lack of basic functionality. And don't get me started on the fudge that you have to go through to invoice a 50% commencement fee on an invoice. Please sort this out XERO
