We use quotes to manage our workflow through our sausage business, Having an API to extract this will save us 10 hours per week

Reading this uservoice forum "Quotes via the API" -- something we've needed since we started using Xero -- with 508 votes (1/31/17) and requests dating back TWO YEARS, and seeing that Xero 's team still hasn't even started to implement it, definitely creates an impression of Xero and its development team.

Let's hope that when they someday implement webhooks -- a uservoice request dating back SEVEN YEARS, see https://xero.uservoice.com/forums/5528-xero-accounting-api/suggestions/526655-notify-url-when-stuff-changes-in-xero-webhooks -- they will include webhooks called when quotes are created, viewed, or accepted.

This needs to happen sooner rather then LATER... we have reporting etc that needs to have data taken across manually at the moment!

I would love to see some quote reporting - its a crucial bridge between sales and accounting as well as understanding that your business is generating quotes but identifying what is not converted to invoice is a lost prospect but your business attracted a cost in gaining that quote in the first place, also to identify return of investment but most importantly to look at what ratios are converted from quote into invoice and of what value so you can accurately forecast.

We keep having potential customer asking for Quotes functionality from our product, and having to turn them down.

Draft invoice whilst an option, is often not a viable workaround, especially if they already used Quotes directly from Xero UI.

So new year, new update on the Quotes API?

More access to quote data via the API would mean I can follow up quotes more effectively. Which helps with conversion to a sale. What more important feature can there be than helping businesses increase sales.

If invoices are part of the API why not quotes?? Maybe cut and paste the code for invoices and find / replace the word 'invoice' for 'quote' :p

Come on Xero ... We have an itch to scratch here. :-) Maybe employ some more developers to get this feature implemented (and the current backlog caught up)? ;-)

Would love to see quotes in the api! I like being able to have the client accept the quote before invoicing. Thank you.

Adding quotes via the API would be soooooo useful it would be the most used report, certainly from my point of view.

Without being able to access quotes via the API, is there any way of determining available stock levels.

Is there a work around that enables developers to check the value of: Count On Hand - In Committed Quotes?

Even if no API, at least let us report on them. even simple like Quotes sent and quotes accepted in a time period.

Will help massively to synch between Xero and Active Campaign (Deal) when a new quote is sent.
