Get the list of projects and invoices / bills lines attached

Currently, it is not possible to get the list of invoices / bills lines attached to a project. Neither via a report nor via API.

It's only possible to get the list of invoices for a particular project in the GUI and we are not even able to get an extract of that info.

We are using other operational systems and need to use this info. Plus, we would like to point out all invoices where there is no project attached and this is currently impossible.

That would be awesome if we could extract this via API.

    We require this as well. A relationship between Invoice and Project would allow us to analyse the profitablity of Projects. Please can we have an update ?

    I need this as well - I think it is utterly insane that you cannot link an invoice to a project through the API - this is bread-and-butter code stuff that would allow my organisation to enrich our internal reporting data if we had a consistent model for linking to projects.

    I need to do this too.
    It seems crazy that the above request is over a year old, with few votes and no action.
    Surely this is something that most people need?

    Same as below. Actually requested 7 years ago. Seems to be a simple inclusion of project field. I notice third-party apps such as ApprovalMax and Hubdoc also suffer as a result of this i.e. no ability to select a project in those apps.

    Same as all the comments below, doesnt make sense we cannot link invoice lines to project via the api but we can via the web app. Please implement this feature! +100 votes ! This was requested 5 years ago....

    when I get an invoice by API (/2.0/Invoices), I have to get the project information.

    is there any way to get it by API????

    without the ability to relate invoices to projects it prevents the integration of our systems with XERO and raises the question as to whether we can continue with XERO when there are plenty of other competitors.

    Any updates on this?
    Doing any kind of reporting on Project level is impossible without this.

    So.
    Two years on there is no change.
    Abysmal is the only polite word that I can use.
    Needs fixing as without it Projects is useless & the 200 item limit on 'Tracking' which forces us to use Projects is pathetic too.
