Attach pdf invoice when emailing invoice via API

There is currently no way to attach the invoice PDF to emails when emailing from the API. We've had to resort to sending the link in the template used to email our customers. However, our customers prefer having an attachment instead of going to a link to download it.

    This is super critical to our workflow. There's little to no point in generating invoices via the API if related files can't be attached to the emails when they're sent out

    Lots of our customers won't accept invoices via hyperlink - so this adds another step to our workflow and takes time to log into Xero and send manually. Kind of defeats the purpose of the API being used through our CRM.

    How hard can it be! The function must already be there in your library, just expose it to the API

    Very critical for us. We use API to generate invoices and want to send PDF invoice and additional PDF attachment in e-mail. Such functionality is available in Xero UI. So what is the problem to add this in API?

    This is super important. We end up having to send invoices twice because our customers also use OCR via their automated accounting packages.

    Yes please, Xero! It makes no sense that invoice PDFs can't be attached automatically...

    Please create this Xero. I have an ingoing bill setup which accepts only PDF's through Xero - why are you not offering this yet?

    I have to use a different billing system for outgoing invoices. Pretty tedious and I know you can do better on this one.

    @Xero this seems to be getting more and more urgent. Customers are using invoicing systems that only read PDF invoices and won't follow the links

    Many businesses require a PDF for their own record keeping, so this would be a great feature.

    Our partner app (ChargeOver) has a number of Xero customers who would benefit from this feature.
