Reconciliation search box to allow multiple search words separated by commas
Many people want the bank reconciliation api feature but since Xero wont do that, here are 2 ideas for helping some people reconcile invoices
Allow multiple search words in the search box
We have clients who pay 50+ invoices all in one batch. They give us a statement in pdf and csv but we have no way to enter that into the xero search except for 1 at a time. Allow us to make a list of invoice ids as a comma separated string and copy paste that into the search boxNext to the search box, add an upload csv file which lets us upload the above csv file with xero picking out the invoice numbers for us. Then xero adds that to the search and shows the potential invoices.
The above 2 ideas still require human interaction to check the boxes and finalise the reconciliation, but it is far better than the time currently taken
Until you resolve the issues around why you wont make an reconciliation api, please implement one of the above. the number 1 option should be the easiest for you

Interesting update—supporting multiple search terms separated by commas can really improve how users refine and compare results in one go. It’s especially useful when dealing with large datasets where accuracy and speed matter. I’ve seen similar logic applied effectively in public records and valuation tools like https://taylorcountypropertyappraiser.org where multi-criteria searches save a lot of time. Overall, this kind of enhancement makes data exploration far more practical and user-friendly.

This sounds like a very practical enhancement, especially for users who regularly deal with long or complex reconciliation tasks. Allowing multiple search words separated by commas can significantly reduce repeated searches and improve overall accuracy. Features like this become even more useful when users are referencing detailed records, similar to how https://horrycountycourts.org helps streamline broader research needs. Overall, it’s a thoughtful update that prioritizes efficiency and better user experience.

It helps narrow results faster and reduces the need for repeated searches when working with varied data points. I’ve noticed similar functionality being especially helpful when reviewing https://dentoncountycourts.org since precision matters a lot in those cases. Overall, this change should improve accuracy and save valuable time for users.
