Be able to email approved invoices via the API
Hi everyone,
The functionality to send sales invoices via email is now open to all apps.
Check out the docs here: https://developer.xero.com/documentation/api/invoices#email
There’s more functionality we could add around emailing but I’m going to close this request. Please feel free to create new specific requests for any additional email functionality you’d like to see going forward.
Cheers,
Adam

Honestly, after more than a year, I've lost faith guys. 457 votes were already there for "Be able to approve and send invoices via the API". I'm sure most of those voters would say there's little benefit in approving via API but not having the ability to send.

Add the approved invoice, download it through the API as a PDF document and email it yourself.

The purpose of using the API is to automate user functions, it defeats the object when you need to facilitate the most crucial part of the invoicing process manually.

Xero is an AWESOME system and inspirational to other developers. I'd have thought that being able to e-mail approved invoices would be part of the first release invoice API tho :P

Wow #fail indeed. Your progress on the API, or lack there-of, is really getting disappointing...
Now I have to waste extra API calls, your & my bandwidth and time fetching PDF's so I can email them myself. Why do I have a feeling like I'm going to end up hitting the rate limit during big billing renewal runs...
