Any update of this request?

This is a bummer. Our users now have to do extra steps to edit this directly in Xero while we could automatically populate these fields as part of data capture.

This has been a thorn in my side since the beginning and still the documents do not explain that BatchPayments.BankAccountName is read only !!

Please can someone from Xero explain why this is NOT PLANNED rather than just setting that status? It is really frustrating to not be able to push our supplier bank details via the API. The batch payment ABA file needs an account name. Deliberately omitting this field needs some explanation, not just a "NOT PLANNED" flag.

Upvoting this, as well. would be great to be able to update BankAccountName via API, currently doing this manually for several hundred contacts....

This is really limiting how we use Xero (no-one likes spreadsheets). We need the ability to update this field via the API. Any update?

This seems like a trivial thing to do yet almost a year has passed since the initial request.

Is there any planned implementation date on this?

Currently only the BankAccountNumber field is visible using the BankAccountDetails element. Need to add the BankAccountName and Details fields.
