Invoice Email PDF Attachment

Currently you cannot send the PDF version of the invoice as an attachment to the invoice via the API.

    Please create this Xero. I have an ingoing bill setup which accepts only PDF's through Xero - why are you not offering this yet?

    I have to use a different billing system for outgoing invoices. Pretty tedious and I know you can do better on this one.

    @Xero this seems to be getting more and more urgent. Customers are using invoicing systems that only read PDF invoices and won't follow the links

    For those struggling with this, I was able to create a work around using make.com (but you could probably use Zapier, etc).
    Here's the process:
    1. Watch for new Xero invoices
    2. Get PDF of Xero invoice
    3. Get email contact details for the invoice
    4. Create an email (in make.com) and attach the pdf.

    As per other requests, my customers are asking for the PDF to be sent to them. This is so the invoice goes easily into their Xero.

    The API I use is therefore useless if you can't get the pdf sent. It can be sent when you email the invoice from Xero so why can't you allow the PDF to be sent via an API.

    Our custmoers are asking for this feature to make their invoice look more premium and also to save them a step in opening PDFs. Some have also automated their invoicing and rely on a pdf invoice attachment

    Many businesses require a PDF for their own record keeping, so this would be a great feature.

    Our partner app (ChargeOver) has a number of Xero customers who would benefit from this feature.

    This is a must have for us as customers are constantly asking for PDF copies of the invoice (because they don't realize the link in the email will allow them to download it).
    Retrieving the PDF after the invoice is generated then sending it within the App creates concern with customers as the email looks different to the ones they would usually receive.

    There is currently no way to attach the invoice PDF to emails when emailing from the API. We've had to resort to sending the link in the template used to email our customers. However, our customers prefer having an attachment instead of going to a link to download it.

    Yes please add the ability to configure the email sent via the api
