Support bulk attachment uploads via the Accounting API
Please add support for uploading multiple attachments in a single API request.
Currently, Xero’s API requires each attachment to be uploaded individually. Xero Support has confirmed that posting multiple attachments in a single request is not currently supported.
For integrations that need to sync records containing multiple attachments, this requires making a separate API request for every file. This increases request volume, adds latency, and makes bulk synchronization more difficult, particularly when processing many records with multiple attachments.
Ideally, the API would support submitting multiple attachments for the same/different Xero object(s) in a single request (for example, via a multipart request or a dedicated bulk attachment endpoint).
Example use case: An integration creates or syncs a Xero object that has 5 attachments. Instead of requiring 5 separate attachment POST requests, the integration could upload all 5 attachments in one request.
This would improve the efficiency of bulk integrations, reduce unnecessary API calls, and make attachment syncing more reliable at scale.
