GET Quotes functionality is now available to our recommended and preferred app partners. Early access to new API functionality is one of the benefits of our partner program.

GET Quotes will be available to all apps and developers on the 18th of November.

We expect that the functionality to create and updates will be available by the end of the year. Stay tuned for more details.

I appreciate that this is a very long awaited API feature and thank everyone again for their patience.

Sorry this is long overdue for an update.

We’ve had some compliance work disrupt the roadmap which means we’ve had Quotes work on hold for a while. The good news is we’re back actively working on it again so expect another update soon.

At the moment there are still no plans to add quotes functionality to the API. We appreciate there is strong demand but our focus this year will be on other aspects of the platform that benefit all apps including OAuth2.0, SSO and some huge marketplace improvements.

I know it must seem like we don’t pay attention to UserVoice but we really do value the feedback. In the past year we’ve shipped two of the top three requests (Webhooks and emailing invoices) but unfortunately we just can’t get to everything.

We know there is heaps of demand for a Quotes endpoint but the team is currently focused on some bigger features like webhooks and a new developer portal.

Please keep adding your votes and comments and we’ll reassess the priority of this in the new year.

Quotes is quickly becoming one of our most requested features but still a few things we need to get done first. We’ll keep this page up-to-date if priorities change.

Apologies all, we have to bump this feature back from ‘Started’ to ‘Planned’.

We’ve uncovered some issues with the core quotes service that make it unsuitable to expose in it’s current state.

A quotes endpoint is still one of our top priority features but it’s going to take a bit more work than first thought. We’ll keep this page up-to-date once we have a clearer idea of expected release dates.

Work has begun to expose quotes functionality in the Xero API. There are some internal changes required in Xero before we can make this happen but aiming to have GETs live by early August. Creates and updates to follow after that.
