  1. Currently, there is a feature to add a client code for businesses who handle multiple clients. However this code can only be entered after the client is setup as a separate step. It would be quicker to optionally add the client code as part of the setup process.

  6. I am able to create employee with first name and last name. I want to update the records with detailed information. But 2.0 version does not have that capability while 1.0 has it. ( http://developer.xero.com/documentation/payroll-api/employees/) .

    can we get it in 2.0 version as well ?

    The Core accounting API employees endpoint (http://developer.xero.com/documentation/api/employees/) is very different and much more limited in function. It is related to the pay run function in Xero which is quite basic and there are no plans to make any changes to this.

    The Payroll API employee endpoint (http://developer.xero.com/documentation/payroll-api/employees/) is more extensive as it is an API to the Xero payroll application (currently only available in Australia).

  8. Send an automatic reminder notice after, either, 7 days, 14 days, and/or 21 days once the invoice gets overdue. We should have the facility to choose number of reminder notices. Have the facility to generate reminder notice report.

    We sent several invoices everyday and it is hard for us to remember to send a notice to clear their overdue payments

    My client needed this system in xero and he was depressed when he heard that it's not yet developed in xero.

    Good news! Work is almost complete for invoice reminders in Xero so look out for it in the app very soon.

    I’m closing this particular suggestion as it seems to relate to Xero in general rather than the Xero API. General Xero suggestions are best placed here https://community.xero.com/business/discussion/50961/

    If anyone voting for this issue has any API specific suggestions for invoice reminders then please feel free to post it as a new idea.

  10. For reviewing yearend accounts, we review against the Trial Balance from the prior year, therefore it would be great if in the Trial Balance there was an option to view periods (or Last year) etc as you can do with the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Statements.

  11. If a tracking category name or option name is changed then often this isn't picked up when bulk approving invoices and invoices get entered with missing tracking categories

  12. Challenge:

    We love using Xero there are so many pluses! But…we also use add-ons which integrate with Xero. When information is pushed and pulled through, if our clients have misspelt their company name, or even written Limited as Ltd (or vice versa) it creates a whole new client in Xero even if the client currently exists (eg.if purchasing tickets through Eventbrite). We have three integrations going so this can happen three different times and for our administrators and accounts team…a logistical nightmare .

  13. This is especially important for an initial sync of a new customer with our product as we need every invoice in the database (including the PDFs, which we are happy to trickle into the system over time).

  15. I love the mail-merge style placeholders you've added to the email templates, but there could easily be more!

    For example the "Contact Name" - a lot of my customers are businesses, so the emails will say "Hi ABC Company Pty Ltd" which looks silly. I've added the contact names of the actual people I deal with at those companies into the Contacts section of Xero, so having access to "Contact First Name" for example would be excellent.

  16. At the moment, they can't be set as far as I can see and so every time I pull in an inventory item those two fields are blank and have to be set manually. For certain inventory items those two fields are always the same. In Sage you could press F6 to set from the cell above which would have been a workaround but here I have no choice but to do everything manually each time.

  19. GET CreditNotes has the InvoiceNumber field but not the ContactNumber field. It would be quite nice to have both.

  20. There needs to be a box to tick to indicate the asset is subject to the vehicle cost limit, so depreciation is not calculated on the whole cost
