  1. In Version 2.74 on Dec 8, 2014, added new feature delete a payment.
    However this feature only allow to delete payments to approved AR and AP invoices, but NOT allow to delete payments to AR and AP CreditNote.

  2. It seems to be possible to supply the ItemCode but not the ItemID. I guess the ID is unique for each item? It would be really great in my opinion if the API could be consistent and the ID field was always used to specify a join whenever you are creating or updating anything.

    Consider the following use case:

    A web app with integrations to xero to do all of the invoicing, and inventory price management. Contacts (users), orders (invoices) and products (items) are stored in the app, but also created in xero. The app then stores the xero id…

  3. This would allow us to build tools to do bulk budget exports for multiple periods from our current system. (I think that budgets import might be coming through the user interface anyway, in which case this isn't really needed).

  4. I would love to see the payments made against a supplier in the contacts.
    ie: date of payment and amount. Then be able to drill down and see what invoices were paid. As it is you can see invoices and that they have been paid but not dates of payment or amount paid unless you drill down into invoice and then drill into payment.

  5. I am looking at entering transactions of 2013. (So i have no intention in creating invoices for the sales happened that time, rather just enter the sales amount)

    When there is a SALE in showroom through credit card, the money go to the credit card company and after deducting their charges they will credit our bank with the balance amount.
    For eg: if the sale is 1000, they will credit our bank with 977, meaning their charges is 23.
    The entry would be:
    Dr. Bank 977
    Dr. Credit Card company 23
    Cr. Sales 1000

    I would like to make this…

  6. Traditional UK Invoices for small businesses would not look like the ones you can currently produce from your template. There is very little flexibility as to where the logo can be positioned and it does not allow other elements to balance. I do not have the expertise or ability to get someone elese to create a new docx template.

  7. The documentation says:

    PUT Receipts
    The PUT method is similar to the POST Invoices method, however you can only create new receipts with this method.

    It would be great if I was able to update receipts with the PUT method.

  9. E-mailing updates to receivable accounts about their payments via the API would be very useful. Via the web interface, this is possible by sending a statement. API request is to be able to retrieve a statement report and email it via the API

  12. As a building business it would be nice to ascertain the costs of a specific build/client to ensure the company is on track with profit/loss per project.

    When I started out in Xero, and when all purchases were been entered in as drafts, when a certain reference was entered, such as the client name or job number, a running total was always displayed as to how much was spent on a particular build/client.

    Ironically once the purchases were approved and/or paid, upon typing the same specific reference, would no longer provide a tally or what was spent, to be paid…

  13. I would like to have the ability to approve all invoices, bills and PO's that have been submitted for approval using the Android app on my phone. Instead of what I have to do not which is to login to the Xero website through my phone and navigate the small text to painstakingly reach the item that requires approval.

  14. Allow multiple invoices to be paid from the Sales area of Xero at the time of receiving the payment, rather than awaiting the bank feed. I.e. customer pays over the counter, or over the phone by credit card, and the Xero user wishes to update immediately on the system, rather than waiting for the bank feed the following day. This also leads to the suggestion of allowing a Bank Deposit form to be printed, from cash and cheques received during the day.

  18. I think that Financial Advisers should have the ability to completely remove a record from the system. Or - this needs to be a permission setting on some future ACL implementation.

    What if an error occurs? Especially for folks like me who are synchronizing their billing system. As far as I am concerned - my billing system has the most accurate information. I want to be able to adjust for errors that may occur during sync - because I cannot effect the records in my billing system.

    These records have already occured. They are uneditable. Xero is simply copying those…

  20. The addition of reporting a contact's balances was a great addition, however I feel the response structure should be consistent, regardless of balances. Where any balances are $0, this should be reported as $0, instead of being removed. By removing the key, we are left only being able to test for the absence of data, which creates an assumptive logic.

    I understand that removing keys for null values might be part of your api design (ie no email address entered doesn't return an empty <EmailAddress>, but technically, a customer always has a balance so there for the Balances data should…
