to get the similar apis to update employee in 2.0 version
I am able to create employee with first name and last name. I want to update the records with detailed information. But 2.0 version does not have that capability while 1.0 has it. ( http://developer.xero.com/documentation/payroll-api/employees/) .
can we get it in 2.0 version as well ?
1 voteThe Core accounting API employees endpoint (http://developer.xero.com/documentation/api/employees/) is very different and much more limited in function. It is related to the pay run function in Xero which is quite basic and there are no plans to make any changes to this.
The Payroll API employee endpoint (http://developer.xero.com/documentation/payroll-api/employees/) is more extensive as it is an API to the Xero payroll application (currently only available in Australia).

Add the "Analysis Code" field to the Bank Statement report end point
The bank statement report API works great. For each bank line it has the date, amount, particulars, code and reference fields, however the "Analysis Code" field is not available, although it is available via the normal Xero interface on the Bank Statement view. Sometimes this field contains important transaction identifying information. Please make this available via the Report API.

make a comparaitive report for the trial balance
For reviewing yearend accounts, we review against the Trial Balance from the prior year, therefore it would be great if in the Trial Balance there was an option to view periods (or Last year) etc as you can do with the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Statements.

let us automatically set cost centre and region when creating a new inventory item
At the moment, they can't be set as far as I can see and so every time I pull in an inventory item those two fields are blank and have to be set manually. For certain inventory items those two fields are always the same. In Sage you could press F6 to set from the cell above which would have been a workaround but here I have no choice but to do everything manually each time.

Allow for depreciation of assets subject to the vehicle cost limit
There needs to be a box to tick to indicate the asset is subject to the vehicle cost limit, so depreciation is not calculated on the whole cost

Allow edits to Tax codes, Nominals and Project Tracking lines in Expenses section
AT the moment, once you have approved a line of an expense, you can never edit it again. If you get the VAT code wrong, there is no way of changing it. If you haven't approved the entire invoice, you can cancel the claim - but then you can't reenter it - you have to get your employee to do this all over again. If you have approved the claim - there is nothing you can do.
Please fix this - I don't understand why we haven't got the same editing abilities in the Expenses section as we do in…

Be able to add a file attachment to a Pay Pal transaction.
I have noticed when a Pay pal transaction is transferred for reconcillation you cant add a file.

be able to attach supplemental documentation to outgoing invoices - not just PDFs, but excel files and jpgs
I have clients who, when they bill their clients, are required to submit spreadsheets, copies of documents etc WITH their invoice - many state and government jobs require this. It would be great if it could be done within Xero rather than go out to the "normal" email to send both the Xero invoice and the attached documents.

Make the due dates of bills available as a calendar feed
It would be great if I could hook up the due dates of the bills that I have added to Xero to my Google calendar. It would help me more easily keep track of when I have to pay my bills by. Doesn't have to have much detail in it. Maybe just the number of bills due on a date.
