1. Allow the MCP Connector to Convert a Purchase Order to a Bill or Quote to an Invoice

   At present it is not possible for the MCP Connector to convert a PO or a Quote to a Bill or an Invoice.

   Ideally I want to be able to hand Claude a Bill that I have recieved and tell it to find the relevant Purchase Order and then convert it to a Bill for approval.

   I have it set up currently to make a new bill, but this isn't connected to the original PO that it is related to.

2. Ability to upload document when creating a new Bill, PO, Invoice etc with MCP connector.

   At present the MCP Connector can use Claude, ChatGPT etc to read a document and create a new Bill, PO, Invoice etc. At present however it cannot upload the document that it reads from via the API.

   I would like to request that the API be extended to allow the MCP connector to upload a file when creating a new Invoice, Bill, Quote, Purchase Order, Spend Money, Receive Money. This would prevent a manual step of having to have a user manual upload the relevant file after the relevant item has been created.

5. MCP for XPM

   XPM is basically just a big database - so I'd love to try this via MCP. How great it would be to ask questions of the data in natural language, as the report builder isn't always the most intuitive. I think there are tonnes of use cases here, either at the App level, or even just for an accounting practice to query their own data.

6. Claude MCP Server – Full Feature Request for Real Agency Use

   I know the semi-finished MCP on GitHub and the outdated 3rd party GitHub project (which I fixed for my use case) but there are so many apps on the Xero App market but no Claude MCP connector.
   I run a small digital marketing agency with two employees. We use Xero daily for invoicing, quoting, time tracking and cash planning. The goal is to control Xero entirely from Claude Desktop — without logging into the Xero UI — and to let my team log hours directly from Claude.
   Here's what we actually need:
   Invoices

   List invoices with full status (draft, authorised, overdue incl. days overdue)
   Send invoices to contacts directly
   Mark invoices as paid / reconcile
   Manage repeating invoices

   Quotes

   Create and send quotes
   Retrieve quote status (draft, sent, accepted, declined)

   Projects & Time Tracking

   Log time entries per project and task from Claude
   Retrieve time entries per project and per employee — this is critical: currently there is no usable export, so we send clients PDF screenshots of logged hours
   Let team members report hours from Claude without needing Xero access

   Cash & Cashflow

   Retrieve current balance per bank account
   Retrieve bank transactions for cashflow planning and reconciliation preparation

   Contacts

   Create and update contacts from Claude

   Auth

   A proper OAuth flow that works with Claude Desktop without manual token generation every 30 minutes

   The current @xeroapi/xero-mcp-server is a good start but has no working auth flow for Claude Desktop and is missing Projects entirely. This is the biggest gap.

   would love to see JAX support AI-powered migration from QuickBooks. Users could securely connect their QuickBooks account or upload exported reports/screenshots, and JAX would automatically scan, interpret, and map the data into Xero.
   This would include intelligent chart-of-accounts mapping, transaction categorization, duplicate detection, and validation checks. A simple migration progress dashboard could guide users through review and confirmation.
   As someone who has trained a team to use Xero, the biggest resistance is not the platform itself it’s the long and technical migration process. Many small teams don’t want to spend weeks cleaning and mapping data. If JAX could handle most of the heavy lifting, switching to Xero would feel fast, simple, and accessible for non-technical users.

9. purchase order number

   When sending quotes to customers, they often wish to include a purchase order number or reference before approving. At present, this functionality isn’t available in Xero. Adding this feature would help streamline the approval process and make quoting more efficient for both businesses and their customers.

10. The title (blue bar) remain in place when you scroll down the page.

    While i'm working with xero the title bar disappears as I scroll down. I would prefer the title bar to remain static for easier transition from one page to another. I noticed the developers title bar remains static as you scroll down the page.

11. Allocate Xero Projects in Dext

    Can you please allow DEXT to have an option to allocate invoices/receipts etc to projects, not tracking categories. Its double the work to enter invoices in DEXT, then have to click into each one again in Xero to allocate it to a project. We need to be able to allocate the project in DEXT before publishing to xero. This allows us to cost track our building projects as we go.

    Hi we are using the API for Simpro, however when invoices pull into Xero from Simpro, nearly all of the information which is shown on the invoice in Simpro is missing when it pulls into Xero.

    Can you please fix this to include at a minimum the description which is shown on the invoice in Simpro, and the job address.

    It would also be nice to show in the invoice history/notes the date the invoice was emailed to the customer, and the address it was sent to.

    Ideally we would also like to have the pdf attachment from Xero pull through too.

14. Flag contacts that have valid GoCardless mandates

    I love the GoCardless integration but it would be very helpful for Xero to flag if a contact has a valid GC mandate in place. This is helpful for applying the right invoice template for example.

    To connect your Shopify store to Xero, you can follow these steps:
    Go to the Shopify App Store and search for the Xero app. Install the app and follow the prompts to connect it to your Xero account.

16. Saldoinvoice integration with Xero

    I am using https://saldoinvoice.com for a couple years and I am totally satisfied with this software due to its simplicity and conciseness. I´d like to see its integration with Xero cause my accountant wants me to start using Xero as well - but tried out the mobile app and it can´t even compare to saldoinvoice! I understand that the desktop version is good but that's no good to me when I'm out and about. I just need to have the best of both worlds.
